JAMAICAN COOKING 101

Ingredients

1 cup. Flaked saltfish

1 tbsp. pickled herring

3 cups shredded cabbage

¼ cup julinned carrots

1 tbsp. chopped onion

1 spring thyme

1 tsp butter

1 tbsp oil

¼ tsp black pepper

1 scotch bonnet pepper





Preparation

1) Heat pan with oil and butter

2) Sautee onion, pepper, saltfish

and herring for 2-3 minutes.

3) Add shredded cabbage and carrots

an allow to cook for 5-8 minutes.


4) Stir well and season with black

pepper


5) Remove from flame when

vegetables are soft.


6) Remove from flame and rest for 2-3

minutes before platting. Enjoy!
